The Electric State (Netflix)
Prepare for an emotionally charged journey with Netflix's new blockbuster, "The Electric State," a film that redefines the boundaries of sci-fi adventure. Directed by the visionary duo behind "Avengers: Endgame," this movie, which is loosely based on the 2018 illustrated novel of the same name, promises to captivate audiences with its blend of action, heart, and futuristic intrigue, all set against a backdrop of a retro-futuristic 1990s America.
"The Electric State" stars Millie Bobby Brown as Michelle, an orphaned teenager whose life takes an extraordinary turn following the upheaval caused by a failed robot uprising. In this alternate version of the '90s, sentient robots—once integrated into society as friendly companions and workers, taking on the appearance of cartoons and mascots—now find themselves outcasts, relegated to a life of exile.
Michelle's mundane existence is shattered when she encounters Cosmo, a peculiar and endearing robot who seems to be mysteriously linked to her presumed-dead younger brother, Christopher, a young prodigy. Driven by the hope that her brother might still be alive, Michelle embarks on a daring quest across the American southwest. Accompanied by Cosmo, their journey leads them to Keats, a charismatic but down-on-his-luck smuggler played by Chris Pratt, and his sarcastic robot sidekick, Herman, voiced by Anthony Mackie.
Together, this unlikely group ventures into the Exclusion Zone, a desolate and dangerous area segregated for the autonomous existence of robots. It's within this vibrant and bizarre community of animatronics that Michelle and her companions uncover truths that challenge their understanding of loyalty, family, and the very fabric of their society.
As they delve deeper into the mystery of Christopher’s disappearance, what begins as a search for a lost sibling evolves into a gripping confrontation with a sinister conspiracy that threatens more than just their personal ties.
Be sure to catch "The Electric State" streaming on Netflix on March 14th.

The Righteous Gemstones (Crave)
A divine dose of laughter and scandal is on it’s way as HBO's hit comedy series "The Righteous Gemstones" returns for its fourth and final season. Since its premiere, the series has garnered a dedicated following thanks to its brilliant blend of irreverent humor and biting satire aimed at the world of televangelism. Created by Danny McBride, who also stars as the eldest Gemstone sibling, Jesse, this show has proven that when it comes to the business of salvation, the Gemstone family’s antics are sinfully funny.
As we've followed the Gemstones, a family entrenched in the grand televangelist tradition, viewers have been treated to a spectacle of excess, hypocrisy, and occasional redemption. The patriarch, Eli Gemstone, portrayed with gravitas by John Goodman, steers his flock and family business with a heavy hand, mourning the loss of his wife while grappling with the legacy he's destined to leave behind. The series shines a light on each family member's struggle, from Jesse’s attempts to overcome his past sins and lead the ministry, to middle sister Judy (Edi Patterson), who battles for recognition while dreaming of a life beyond the compound. Meanwhile, Kelvin (Adam DeVine), the youngest and a pseudo-hipster preacher, continually vies for his place in the family's pecking order.
Season four promises to escalate the divine drama as it explores the themes of power, redemption, and legacy with even sharper comedy and more outrageous plots. As the Gemstones confront new threats to their religious empire, the family's bond is tested by their personal demons and rivalries. This season is set to delve deeper into the characters’ journeys, providing a closer look at their individual and collective quests for salvation—or at least a higher profit margin.
The final season of "The Righteous Gemstones" is poised to be both a climax and a revelation, bringing closure to the chaotic world of this larger-than-life family.
Tune for the farewell season of "The Righteous Gemstones" and witness how this holy rollercoaster of a series concludes its run. Will the Gemstones find redemption, or will their sins catch up with them? One thing is certain: their final confessions will be as outrageous and entertaining as ever. Don't miss the last chapter in the saga of television's most dysfunctionally devout family, with the season premiere on March 9th.
