At the heart of the story is Ye Wenjie, an astrophysicist who endures the brutal murder of her father during the Cultural Revolution. Her scientific prowess leads to her conscription by the military and relocation to a secret radar base in a secluded area. It's here that Ye Wenjie makes a pivotal decision, sending a message into the cosmos that forever alters humanity's destiny.
